A meeting was held between the Digitalization Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Turkish delegation

On May 19, 2023, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan with a delegation of advisory services from the Republic of Turkey. The purpose of the meeting is to exchange experience in the field of digitalization of agriculture in the two countries.

Guests were introduced to geographic information systems, which are part of a unified integration platform developed in our country. An online demonstration of the geographic information system was organized, which includes spatial data on the location and condition of agricultural land and crops, soil data, irrigation networks, etc. throughout the country. Its main task is to systematize, monitor and use the information received to improve the efficiency of decision-making.

The meeting was attended by the director of the Center for Digitalization of the Agro-Industrial Complex under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Utkir Makhmudov, the head of the department for the development of geographic information technologies under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Makhsudov Bobomurod Yuldashevich and other representatives of the center, heads of consulting services, cooperatives and scientific researchers of the agricultural sector of the Republic of Turkey.

At the end of the event, representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan answered questions from colleagues from the Republic of Turkey about the digitalization of agriculture in our country.
