First Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies Oleg Pekos met with representatives of the delegation headed by Dimitrios Dozis, President of Mastercard’s Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa region.

At the meeting, the parties discussed cooperation in digitization, support of small and medium-sized businesses and further development of IT outsourcing centers, BPO and KPO sectors in Uzbekistan.

Mastercard also announced plans to open an office in Uzbekistan, which shows their interest in developing the country’s digital infrastructure.

During the meeting, both sides expressed their readiness to strengthen cooperation by creating a favorable ecosystem for the development of digital technologies in the country. This allows attracting investment and technical expertise, improving the economy and raising the standard of living of citizens.

The opening of the Mastercard representative office in Uzbekistan serves to further develop cooperation and expand the company’s services. This will create new opportunities for cooperation with local businesses and government bodies, as well as strengthen Uzbekistan’s position as a regional and international center of the digital economy.
