The next meeting of the interdepartmental working group on support for digitalization of agriculture and food statistics was held.

The meeting was attended by the State Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the State Institution “Center for Digitization of Agro-Industry”, the International Center for Strategic Development and Research in the Food and Agriculture Sector (ISCAD). At this meeting, the interdepartmental working groups exchanged opinions on the projects.

I. Ikramov, the head of the Geoinformation Technology Development Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, and Kh. Yakubov, the head of the Department of Statistical Observations of the Producers’ Activity in the Agricultural Statistics Agency, exchanged opinions about the projects.

I. Ikramov – evaluation and analysis of projects of statistics and digitization of agriculture and food sectors of the interdepartmental working group, evaluation of projects of statistics and digitization of agriculture and food sectors based on international experience, agreement and approval of the developed methodology project
gave information about the issues.

H.Yakubov, O.Namozov, L.AbduIazizov, J.Kholov stated that there are proposals for making changes and additions to the draft work plan of the Interagency working group for 2023, taking into account the existing tasks in the agencies.

I. Ikramov on October 18, 2022 by the Ministry of Agriculture or the Statistical Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in order to ensure the implementation of paragraph 26 of the minutes 2 of the meeting of the Council of the Agency for Strategic Reforms under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan On December 27, 2022, “In the framework of the implementation of the strategy for the development of agriculture for 2020-2030, the way to develop agricultural and food statistics and establish inter-agency information exchange” He gave information about the approval of the “map”, as well as the draft action plan for the introduction of three information systems and future tasks.

O. Nomozov – to strengthen mutual cooperation in the wide use of information systems in ensuring food safety, the organization of data collection, analysis and open access, formed in offices and external sources, the systems are initially included in the draft of the developed action plan made proposals for a trial run.

He emphasized the need for the information systems to be created in accordance with international standards and be implemented on the basis of the knowledge and experience of foreign nationals and qualified specialists in the process of development.

N. Rasulova stated that there is a need to review and improve the drafts of the technical assignment on the development of information systems in accordance with current standards, clarifying the tasks and functions of the parties involved in the process.

Kh.Yakubov – that the Statistical Agency has developed proposals for the data sets used in the information systems planned to be developed, and the technical guidelines for the use of the siat.stat.uz system of the Agency have been developed and agreed upon informed that it is in the process, as well as proposals on the considered issues are being developed and will be sent to the Ministry of Agriculture for generalization.
