Digital technologies are rapidly being introduced into almost all spheres and sectors of the economy of the republic.
To date, dozens of information and geographic information systems have been introduced in the agro-industrial complex, which, in addition to ensuring the quality, speed and convenience of the services provided, expand the possibilities for generating accurate and open statistical data and predicting food security.
Another important digitalization project being created by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan is the Agroplatform information system.
Thanks to the introduction of this system, information about all agrotechnical activities – from sowing to harvesting – will be in the information system, which will make it possible to get rid of the practice of document management in paper form.
At the same time, it will be possible to conveniently arrange the allocation of preferential loans for agricultural producers, risk insurance, conclude contracts in electronic format and receive equipment on lease in the system. Also, the transparency of financing of all processes will increase.
The Agroplatform information system, integrated with databases and information systems of commercial banks and companies, cadastral, tax and justice authorities, is currently undergoing preliminary tests in Andijan, Namangan and Ferghana regions.
Thanks to the organization of practical training, not only to state bodies, but also directly to the recipients of services – farmers and dekhkans – the capabilities of the Agroplatform information system are brought to the attention. the boundaries of more than 50 thousand hectares of their farms were determined.
Also, the system deals with the placement of crops and the conclusion of futures contracts in electronic form. In the future, it is also planned to introduce the practice of electronic signing of contracts for the supply of material resources. At the same time, the Ministry of Agriculture is improving the regulatory framework for the introduction of procedures related to the Agroplatform information system. A full-scale launch of the system is scheduled for August this year.
